About the programmes
While there are many possible medical specializations, all medical degrees will start out with a more general grounding in the subject. This should give you an in-depth understanding of human biology, the principles of disease processes, and an introduction to different medical solutions and clinical procedures.

Integrated BACHELOR & MASTER studies

Teaching
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars and personal tutorials, practical session, guest speakers. Practical sessions are organized in laboratories and clinics. This is all arranged in correlation with lectures/professors. You will also spend a significant amount of time in doing personal study.

Language
Lectures and exams are done in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. Special arrangement(s) of studies (private consultations, paper work, mentorship, research, final exam) can be made with foreign students. As of September 2015, the first generation enrolled Medicine program that is taught fully in English. You have to check with the Faculty coordinator (contact details below) for the opportunity to follow lectures in English language.

Assessment
Assessment is by courseware, classroom tests and examinations. Group learning, teamwork, individual work and communication skills are assessed through design group studies and reports as well as presentations. Practical work is also a part of the examinations.

Degree and qualifications
The first and second cycles are integrated with study program and last 6 years (total of 300 ECTS) and lead to a degree Doctor of Medicine (MD). Following the graduation from the Faculty, candidates can enroll studies at postgraduate level.

Medicine is one of the most sort out and rewarding career for those interested in science and dealing with ill people. Over the years, the area of medical studies have undergone various stages of development, it has become so vast that specializations within are increasing day by day. There is great scope for medicine as a professional career. The major Specializations include General Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat), Psychiatry, Anesthesiology etc.
