About the programmes
Studying sociology as part of humanities could mean conducting empirical research (based on observation), using statistical analysis to identify causal relationships and trends, and seeing how these trends relate to various social theories.

Teaching
Teaching methods include lectures, seminars and personal tutorials, practical sessions, guest speakers. This is all arranged in correlation with lectures/professors. You will also spend a significant amount of time in doing personal study.

Language
Special arrangement of studies can be made with foreign students, but you have to check with Lectures and exams are done in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian. Special arrangement(s) of studies (private consultations, paper work, mentorship, research, final exam) can be made with foreign students, but you have to check with the Faculty coordinator first (contact details below).

Assessment
Assessment is by courseware, classroom tests and examinations. Group learning, teamwork, individual work and communication skills are assessed through design group studies and reports as well as presentations. Practical work is also a part of the examinations.

Degree and qualifications
The first cycle lasts 3 years of study (total of 180 ECTS) in order to obtain the degree of Bachelor.
The second cycle lasts 2 years of study (total of 120 ECTS) and leads to a Master degree.
The third cycle lasts 3 years of study (total of 180 ECTS) in order to obtain the degree of PhD.

Degree in sociology does provide a broad set of transferable skills valued by employers across many different employment sectors.
